About us
Norwich combines its historic heritage with a vibrant design scene and some of the best independent shopping in the UK.
We display some of Europe’s best modern furniture including Ligne Roset, Hay, Vitra and many others from Italy, France, Germany, Holland and Scandinavia. We also offer fabrics, wallpapers and home accessories, as well as a complimentary design service.
You can find us in the centre of Norwich on one of the city’s oldest streets, Timberhill. Behind the 17th century facade, the showroom expands across 3 levels to 3000 sq.ft.
We do not sell furniture online, but are happy to deliver anywhere in UK mainland. If you’re unable to come into the shop, please contact us via phone or email.
New to Design House Norwich this month is Carl Hansen, one of the best known names in interior design. Founded in 1901 Carl Hansen still produce all of their furniture in Funen, the middle island in Denmark. Our display includes several of the dining chairs and the Colonial chair shown opposite, with more to come later this month. The Colonial chair is shown in the new Terra leather and currently available for a special, introductory price.
A favourite returns
For us, the highlight of the 2025 Roset exhibition in Paris was the return of Moël. This 2007 design from Inga Sempé was, amidst so much competition from other new designs, later dropped from the UK range. Its return restores a design very much in the tradition of Roset’s all-foam models. With its generous comfort and soft rounded shape, Moël appeals to lovers of an informal, relaxed lifestyle. And of course, Moël does not look like any other chair or sofa in existence.
